About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Activity Aide to enrich the lives of our residents by bringing the daily living experience to new levels. One of the most important parts of their day is interacting with others through daily activities with staff and fellow residents. Our activities staff plays a key role in making these moments vibrant and meaningful.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate ongoing programs for group and individual activities based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities as identified in assessment/care plans.
- Complete required record keeping upon resident admission, discharge, or transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
- Assist in creating the activity calendar.
- Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
- Encourage participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.
Requirements
- 1–2 years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).
