Activity Aide

About the role

Dyer Nursing and Rehab is looking for a high-level Activity Aide to enhance the daily living experience for our residents and patients. This role focuses on creating meaningful interactions and enjoyable daily activities for residents through engaging programs and social opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing programs for group and individual activities based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities as identified in assessments and care plans.
• Complete required record keeping for resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.

Requirements

• 1–2 years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).
