Activity Aide

About the role

The Activities Aide at CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake assists in the planning, organization, and directing of activity programs for the facility population. This includes preparing reports on the assigned population's progress, participating in activities such as sports, dramatics, nature study, social activities, games, and arts and crafts, and fostering engagement and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Aids in developing and adapting activity programs to meet individual needs and interests of residents
• Completes accurate daily activity records and communicates relevant departmental information
• Conducts daily one-on-one visits as required by care plans, encouraging participation in assigned activities
• Maintains strong interpersonal relationships with residents and colleagues, demonstrating helpfulness and respect for privacy and confidentiality
• Exhibits flexibility and initiative, performing additional tasks as assigned by the activity coordinator
• Engages in continuing education, participates in department/hospital activities, and sets personal goals for leadership and professionalism

Requirements

Preferred qualifications include:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in an activity department or nursing facility

• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check/drug screen

Pay

The posted compensation range is $15.00 - $20.12 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

The schedule varies, with 4-hour shifts in the morning and evening, occasionally 8-hour shifts.
