About the role

Lifepoint specializes in compassionate behavioral health services, including crisis stabilization, inpatient care, and outpatient treatment for acute mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities

• Applies appropriate theories and standards for therapeutic practices.
• Assesses patient needs using cultural, religious, and physical disability considerations.
• Determines patient capabilities in group settings and specific activities.
• Documents patient responses to interventions pertinent to their treatment on a daily/weekly basis.
• Contributes to the assessment workload balance among therapists.
• Formulates initial and subsequent treatment programs based on attending physician or licensed practitioner's orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Recreational Therapy (CTRS), Music Therapy (MT-BC), Art Therapy (ATR, ATR-BC, ATR-P LPAT), or a related field.
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
• Current certification/license/registration required according to state practice guidelines.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) must be obtained within 30 days.
• May be required to work flexible hours, holidays, and overtime.
