Activities Therapist

Job Description

Activities Therapist is a person who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in a health‑related field, with certification or licensure in their respective scope of practice preferred (e.g., Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Personal Trainer). The therapist provides a variety of therapeutic services to a diverse population using recreation, cooperative activities, and adapted physical education/leisure to facilitate emotional and mental wellbeing. As a member of Therapeutic Rehabilitation Services, the therapist also handles assessment, treatment planning, and documentation of assigned clients as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical interventions in various treatment modalities within scope of practice.
• Demonstrates flexibility in collaborating with peers and other disciplines across all service areas.
• Participates in service‑based Quality Improvement initiatives.
• Participates in patient assessments and treatment planning as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health‑related field from an accredited school.
• Certification or licensure in the respective scope of practice (e.g., RYT, CPT) or willingness to obtain within three months of employment (preferred).
• Completed an internship in a behavioral health setting, or prior work experience in a behavioral health setting.

Schedule

Per Diem, various days and shifts.
