Activities Supervisor

About the role

Lakepoint Villa Assisted Living is seeking an Activities Supervisor to join a team guided by CAPLICO core values: Celebration, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Customer Second (Employee First!), Ownership. The Activity Supervisor plans, implements and oversees the Activities program for residents, works with Activities staff to create a multi-faceted daily/monthly calendar appropriate for all care levels, and ensures the program promotes independence, fulfillment, and accomplishment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and oversees the Activities program for residents.
• Works with Activities staff to create a multi-faceted daily/monthly calendar appropriate for all care levels.
• Ensures the activities program promotes a feeling of independence, a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment for residents.
• Provides a well-balanced daily and monthly calendar of programs and events of interest to residents.
• Routinely seeks and is open to resident feedback on activity likes/dislikes and suggestions for future programs.
• Establishes and maintains community partnerships to offer a wide variety of choices for residents and collaborates with other organizations/businesses to promote joint programming.
• Provides opportunities for residents to engage in volunteer projects in the surrounding community.
• Ensures that activities supplies are ordered and available for use.
• Transports residents to various activities and events in the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preference for a college degree in Recreation Therapy or Human Services and/or two (2) years of equivalent work experience in the field.
• Prior experience in small group socialization and creative programming for older adults preferred.
• Prior experience in managing staff and volunteers.
• Current CPR/first aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no major violations.
