Activities Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking an Activities Supervisor to plan, implement, and oversee a vibrant activities program for our senior living residents. The position works closely with the Activities staff to create daily and monthly calendars that serve all care levels, encourage resident individuality, participation, and leadership, and foster a sense of independence, fulfillment, and accomplishment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and oversee the Activities program for residents.
• Collaborate with Activities staff to develop a multi‑faceted daily/monthly calendar appropriate for all care levels.
• Provide a well‑balanced calendar of programs and events that interest residents.
• Seek and incorporate resident feedback on activity preferences and suggestions for future programs.
• Establish and maintain community partnerships to expand activity choices and coordinate joint programming with external organizations.
• Offer residents opportunities to engage in volunteer projects within the surrounding community.
• Ensure activity supplies are ordered, stocked, and readily available.
• Transport residents to various community activities and events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred college degree in Recreation Therapy or Human Services).
• Two (2) years of equivalent work experience in the field, or a related degree.
• Prior experience in small‑group socialization and creative programming for older adults (preferred).
• Experience managing staff and volunteers.
• Current CPR/first aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major violations).
• Energetic, personable, enthusiastic, creative, and imaginative.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to listen empathetically.
