About the role
Being a Activities Specialist at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health has its Advantages! We Offer Specialized training opportunities in Evidenced Based Practices-DBT, CBT, PBIS Growth and Development across service lines. Collaborative work with an integrated treatment team of direct care, psychiatry, medical & nursing Monday- Friday 11am-7pm or 12pm-8pm schedule. Responsibilities
- Evaluates and assesses client’s current level of functioning.
- Assigns individuals to appropriate group and activities based on treatment goals and level of cognitive functioning.
- Facilitates a minimum of 3 groups daily, accurately and timely recording progress in profiler.
- Maintains inventory for STAR mall, ensures supplies and equipment are available as well as the schedule/calendar, including a "specials" event calendar.
- Collaborates with other program supports to ensure activities are therapeutic and appropriate.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Experience: At least three years’ experience providing recreational and leisure activities. Experience working directly with individuals with behavior disorders.
- Skills: Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
- Other: Valid driver's license must be maintained.

Pay
