Activities Special Education Paraprofessionals for 2026-2027

Up to 200 hours per activities season, typically scheduled from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., plus meets, games, and performances.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with special needs during activities
• Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals*
• Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
• Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team
• Attach passing exam scores from either the ParaPro / ParaEducator or college transcripts to your application if not already on file
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and criminal background check

Pay

Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement Level V, ranging from $20.58 to $25.94 per hour; no additional benefits.
