Activities Director (Life Enrichment)

About the Role

The Life Enrichment Director at The Addison of Oviedo plans, schedules, and implements activities for a seven-day week calendar, ensuring resident preferences and special needs are accommodated. This role integrates residents into the community through facility activities and outings, while also fostering positive relationships within the broader community through promotional efforts.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and implements activities for a seven-day week calendar.
• Identifies the special needs of each resident and creates a plan to accommodate those needs.
• Involves residents in planning recreation objectives and goals.
• Integrates residents with the community through facility activities and outings.
• Creates a strong positive image and establishes good relationships within the community, including press relations and promotional activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
• Certification as an Activity Professional preferred.
• Two years of activities management experience preferred.
