Responsibilities
- Assists in recruiting, hiring and training of the Assistant Program and Outreach Director.
- Participates in the Personalized Service Plans (PSP) and ensures a variety of appropriate and personalized activities are provided, incorporating all dimensions of wellness.
- Maintains the PSL Activity & Program Guidebook, tracking daily resident participation in activities.
- Organizes small groups or clubs based on resident demographic profiles and needs.
- Affords assistance to residents moving between activity rooms and assists in Life Skills and other activities as needed.
- Supports residents with dementia in participating in normalizing life enriching activities and routines.
- Maintains an inventory of activity and programming supplies, games, programs, and crafts.
- Schedules, communicates, and facilitates monthly resident council meetings.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, Gerontology, or related field, preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years’ experience in senior living/skilled nursing activity & event planning, including moderate to large event planning responsibilities.
- Physical Requirements: Stand/walk for up to 4-6 hours, sit for up to 2 hours, drive for up to 2 times a week, lift/carry up to 70 lbs occasionally, reach up to 3 feet frequently.
