About the role

The Activity Coordinator is responsible for the development and provision of activity services, helping to implement and advise on the activities needs of the project, community, and other resident activities. This includes conducting an ongoing schedule of established events, developing and implementing new ideas for activities, planning and facilitating special events, working with the management team to ensure minimal disruption and coverage of scheduled activities, composing and producing a monthly newsletter, distributing it to staff and residents by a deadline, creating the monthly calendar of activities, posting activity and information flyers, posters, and sign-ups in a timely manner, welcoming new residents, and providing them with a current newsletter and orientation to activities within the site.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome new residents and provide them with a current newsletter and orientation to activities within the site

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in activity service area or related field working with low-income families, youth, seniors, and disabled population
  • Mandarin speaking a plus but not required

Qualifications

  • Ability to work well with diverse and multi-lingual populations

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
