Woodland Heights in Little Rock, AR is seeking an Activities Coordinator to develop, implement, and operate the Lifestyle programs at the community. This role promotes a healthy, activity-enriched lifestyle for residents and staff, ensuring programming meets the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

Responsibilities

  • Create an environment that promotes residents' and families' participation in activities, including:
    • Develop and submit a monthly calendar of events for review and printing
    • Create and submit a monthly newsletter for residents, staff, and families
    • Maintain social media under the umbrella of Senior Living
  • Coordinate with associates to plan, execute, and attend special functions such as holidays and celebratory events
  • Conduct resident surveys to determine activity interests
  • Oversee transportation of residents, including:
    • Assist with safe loading, unloading, seating, and transporting of residents
    • Drive residents as needed
    • Schedule transportation for recreational and medical outings
    • Evaluate the transportation program regularly to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and supervise department staff in accordance with company policies and core values
  • Develop and train volunteers to assist with activities or special events
  • Survey residents to assess satisfaction with programs and services, making corrections as needed
  • Manage the department within budgetary guidelines, track inventory, and order supplies
  • Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and local regulations for vehicle safety and driver credentials/licensing
  • Encourage and invite resident participation in all activities
  • Alert care staff to any medical or care needs of residents
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and create daily efficiencies
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and report issues or concerns immediately
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag
  • Represent Senior Living principles and core values daily
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

Other Responsibilities

  • Communicate Senior Living’s vision of lifestyle living by sharing program outcomes, changes, and updates throughout the community
  • Collaborate with sales to cultivate the program brand and communicate opportunities to showcase resident experiences
  • Develop and implement a system for capturing useful data related to programs and services, providing monthly reporting on attendance and other metrics
