Activities Coordinator - DaySpring
About the role
DaySpring, Inc. is a Christian, faith‑based organization governed by Biblical principles, as defined in its Statement of Faith. These principles guide how the organization operates, cares for residents, and fulfills its mission: “Serving Older Adults with God’s Love.” DaySpring seeks a diverse team united by a shared bond as members of the Body of Christ, and expects employees to align their responsibilities with the Statement of Faith and the duties outlined in this description.
This is a leadership role with a lot of energy behind it! You will take charge, bring people together, and help drive a culture where residents genuinely enjoy life. Working alongside other coordinators, you will create and maintain a strong life‑enriching culture throughout the facilities/homes, aiming to hear laughter in the halls, see residents engaged, and feel energy throughout the building. You will plan great events and activities, get others excited and involved, and motivate the care team to ensure activities are performed well. You will also ensure Resident Life Partners meet expectations, address shortcomings, follow up, and hold people accountable—being kind and compassionate while remaining confident, firm, and willing to take charge. Ultimately, you will bring fun and leadership, build relationships with residents, create memorable experiences, take ownership, and confidently uphold the standard: “This is the standard, and we're going to meet it.”
