Activities Coordinator

About the role

An Activities Coordinator provides and coordinates wellness activities using small and large group activities designed to enhance the lives of the people we support through various programs that they attend.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute wellness activities for individuals with developmental disabilities
• Collaborate with program staff to design and implement activities that meet the needs of participants
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members
• Manage resources and budget for activity programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a Bachelor's Degree in a similar field is required
• At least two years of experience planning activities or a similar role and working with people with developmental disabilities is required
• Valid NYS Driver's License with 2 years of experience required
• Use of own vehicle is required
