About the role

The Activities Coordinator is an expert at driving results in our Senior Living properties, bringing exceptional experiences to life every day for current and future residents through active engagement in activities and programs. This role assists in planning and implementing activities to enhance the community experience and may move frequently across multiple properties within a geographic location based on business needs. The Activities Coordinator will deliver exceptional customer service and quality, making residents feel at home while embodying Goldmark’s vision of creating a better living.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and lead an engaging activities program including physical exercise, arts and crafts, entertainment, and special events.
  • Create and publish a monthly activities calendar for distribution in and outside of the community.
  • Provide casual leisure time activities such as games, puzzles, movies, and more.
  • Develop a network of volunteers to assist with activities and special events.
  • Use customer management systems daily to build relationships with prospective and current residents, ensuring all communication is documented.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to managers or maintenance as needed.
  • Oversee and manage the activity budget for each property.
  • Assist in property decoration, including seasonal/holiday decorations, informational signs, and art project displays, as well as storage of these items.
  • Collaborate with leadership and support teams as appropriate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of successful experience leading an activities program (prior experience preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance per company requirements.
  • Customer service experience and a strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to operate common office equipment and basic computer skills.
  • Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.

Pay

Starting pay at $18.00 per hour (or more based on experience).
