About the role

The Enrichment Activities Coordinator designs and leads dynamic, person-centered programs and community outings that enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires expertise in program development and a strong understanding of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) standards to create experiences that reflect participant input and individual goals. The Coordinator champions independence, inclusion, and personal growth through creative, community-integrated activities. Enrichment programming will deliver measurable outcomes that enhance participants’ autonomy, strengthen family and community connections, and uphold health, safety, and rights. Success in this role means structured, predictable, and meaningful engagement supported by clear schedules, informed staff, welcoming environments, and documentation that demonstrates choice and participation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead dynamic, person-centered programs and community outings for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Develop programs that reflect participant input and individual goals, adhering to HCBS standards.
  • Champion independence, inclusion, and personal growth through creative, community-integrated activities.
  • Ensure structured, predictable, and meaningful engagement with clear schedules and informed staff.
  • Maintain documentation demonstrating participant choice and participation.

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
  • Superior organizational skills and program development expertise.
  • Behavioral support and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and willing to work as part of a team.
  • Current and active Medication Administration Certification.
  • CPR and First Aid Certified (must be maintained at all times).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software for scheduling, documentation, and service reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a person-centered mindset.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Ability to pass DMV check annually and maintain a current Montana Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and remain active throughout the day.
  • Must be able to assist clients with mobility or physical support needs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, in all seasons, and in varied environments.

Experience

  • 0-2 years in developmental disability services or related social service or health care field.
