Activities Coordinator - Assisted Living

Position Overview

Lead engaging daily activities with enthusiasm and professionalism. Spend the majority of each day interacting with residents—not sitting behind a desk. Support outings, special events, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate. Partner with the Director of Activities & Programming to continually enhance resident engagement.

What We're Looking For

• Genuinely enjoys playing games with others and building relationships
• Wellversed in card and table games and patient enough to teach residents at their own pace
• Comfortable leading and participating in games including Hand & Foot, Swoop, Five Crowns, Rummikub, Dominoes, Mahjong, Kings in the Corner, 21 Blackjack, Bingo, Gentleman’s Poker, Bunco, Euchre, and similar games
• Creative, energetic, dependable, and eager to introduce fresh programming ideas for both Assisted Living and Memory Care
• Previous senior living, recreation, education, hospitality, or activities experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for resident outings
• Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
• Eagerness to assist with activity and event planning, logistics, and preparation
• Comfortable seeking and sharing resident feedback and suggestions
• Support with preparation, printing, and distribution of daily and monthly calendars throughout the community when asked
• Comfortable communicating upcoming activities, events, celebrations, and resident engagement opportunities

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the community
• Push wheelchairs and assist residents as appropriate
• Lift and carry activity supplies (approximately 25 pounds)
• Set up and break down activity spaces and events
