Job Summary
Aid in developing resident activity programs. Execute activities as directed by the Life Enrichment Coordinator. Fulfill assigned duties and responsibilities according to federal and state regulations, and company policies.
Position Overview
- Organize and conduct activities for residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.
- Balance recreational activities and facilitate group and individual visits.
- Coordinate activities with other departments and communicate schedules to residents, families, and team members.
- Prepare and maintain vibrant person-centered monthly Life Enrichment calendars reflecting residents' interests and preferences.
- Ensure availability of activity supplies and prepare monthly reports as directed.
- Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
- Recognize and report changes in resident condition requiring nursing intervention.
- Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality.
- Supervise volunteers and assist residents on outings.
Qualifications

- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience preferred.
- Awareness of special needs and dimensions of wellness for older adults.
- Skills to engage residents with different interests and abilities.
- Sensitivity to residents' feelings and well-being.
- Ability to initiate and lead activities, find resources, and implement LE programs.
- Adaptability to new technology.
- Enjoy working with senior adults, exercise judgment, display empathy, creativity, imagination, friendliness, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and have a caring attitude and sincere interest in others.
- Clean driving record through the DMV.
