Activities Assistant- Senior Living

About the role

Our Resident Experience Coordinator brings Inspired Living’s philosophy to life by creating engaging experiences that help residents connect, explore, laugh, learn, and thrive at our Lakewood Ranch community in Bradenton, FL.

Responsibilities

• Get to know each resident and discover their interests, passions, preferences, and goals.
• Welcome new residents and introduce them to the Resident Experience program.
• Create and lead a monthly calendar of activities and events aligned with residents’ intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual interests.
• Coordinate daily activities, entertainment, celebrations, and special events that residents genuinely want to attend.
• Build relationships with local entertainers, vendors, organizations, and community partners.
• Coordinate resident outings, including local adventures, sightseeing, special destinations, and scheduled transportation.
• Partner with Sales & Marketing to create memorable quarterly events that showcase the community and celebrate residents.
• Promote activities throughout the community and find creative ways to increase participation.
• Manage the activities budget and make thoughtful decisions about supplies, entertainment, and events.
• Help create an atmosphere where residents feel included, connected, and excited about what’s next.
• Lead by example, support teammates, and help create a positive community culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Business, Recreation, or a related field preferred.
• Proven leadership or management experience.
• At least 3 years of assisted living or senior living experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Creative, energetic, and comfortable taking the lead.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple activities and events.
• Comfortable working with residents with different abilities, interests, and personalities.
• Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred.
• A genuine passion for creating meaningful experiences for older adults.
