About the role
The Boston Home is an innovative long-term care community for adults with multiple sclerosis and other advanced neurological disorders. Our population is younger and more stable than many care facilities, with residents often joining the community in mid-life and residing for 20+ years. You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with the residents for whom you care.
Responsibilities
- Help younger adults with disabilities enjoy enriching recreational activities.
- Facilitate group and individual activities to support resident care plans.
- Promote social and emotional well-being among residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain a cheerful demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to plan and execute engaging activities.
- Knowledge of MS and related neurological conditions beneficial.
