The Actvities Assistant
Schedule: Full Time | Tuesday - Saturday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $17.50/hr
- Promoted and monitored resident attendance and participation in all Art of Living Well programs
- Taught and facilitated programs as appropriate
- Maintained residents' well-being in a general way and reported any changes in condition to the appropriate associate/department immediately
- Aided residents with requests as needed or found appropriate associates to assist
- Learned resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction
- Implemented a variety of group and individual Art of Living Well programs that met the varying needs of the residents and staff
- Responded to residents individually to meet their Life Enrichment needs based on activity level, acuity, interests, and feedback
- Worked with volunteers and community groups as needed to implement various programs and events
- Assisted in setting up/tearing down Life Enrichment and community events as needed
- Supported open and honest communication with and between all associates
- Represented the company PVBs and The Art of Living Well on a daily basis
- Maintained high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which included wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
- Looked for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis
- Ensured regulatory compliance and reported any issues or concerns immediately
- Supported continuous improvement
- Complied with company standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations
- Adhered to all regulations, laws and company standards, including the Associate Handbook
- Understood and supported the community sales process
- Performed other related duties as required
What will I need to be successful in this role?

- Have a high school diploma
- Have one to two years’ experience in Life Enrichment programs (preferably with seniors)
- Have a background in different dimensions of Art of Living Well is beneficial
- Have experience leading exercise classes and assisting with exercise equipment
- Have basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications
- Be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?
- Valid driver’s license and proof of good driving record
- Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within reasonable time of employment (as required)
- First Aid Certification
