Activities Assistant - Day Shift Part Time

About the role

As the Life Enrichment - Activities Assistant at Miller’s, you play a key role in patient satisfaction and well-being. You assist the Life Enrichment Director in planning and executing activities to enrich the lives of patients within the facility. You make one-on-one visits with patients, encourage participation in various activities, and interact with volunteers. You may be required to transport patients to scheduled events away from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing activities to enrich patient lives
• Conduct one-on-one visits with patients
• Encourage patient participation in activities
• Interact with volunteers
• Transport patients to off-site events as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in healthcare/patient activities (preferred)
• Good communication skills
• Current driver’s license and good driving record
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Professional appearance and behavior
• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening
• Able to pass a physical examination for employment
• Satisfactorily complete required orientation and training
• Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions

Exposure Category II: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category I tasks.

Pay

$12.50–$13.25 per hour

Schedule

Part-time, 10–16 hours per week (9:00 AM–4:00 PM)
