About the Role
As the Life Enrichment - Activities Assistant at Miller’s, you play a key role in patient satisfaction and well-being. You assist the Life Enrichment Director in planning and executing activities to enrich the lives of patients within the facility. You make one-on-one visits with patients, encourage participation in various activities, and interact with volunteers. You may also be required to transport patients to scheduled events away from the facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing activities for patients
- Conduct one-on-one visits with patients
- Encourage patient participation in activities
- Interact with volunteers
- Transport patients to off-site events as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in healthcare/patient activities (preferred)
- Good communication skills
- Current driver’s license and good driving record
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Professional in appearance and behavior
- Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening
- Able to pass a physical examination for employment
- Satisfactorily complete required orientation and training
- Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions
Exposure Category
Category II: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category I tasks.
Pay
$12.50–$13.25 per hour
Schedule
Part-time, 10–16 hours per week, 9 AM–4 PM
