Activities and Lifestyle Engagement Assistant – Sherwood Oaks Cranberry Township, PA – Full Time; Hourly, Non-exempt; 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, Daylight hours, occasional evenings and weekends.
Starting Pay: $16.00/hour - $19.00/hour; Depending on experience (with CTRS Certification, $19.00/hour - $21.97/hour; Depending on experience)

Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting and developing the Lifestyle Engagement Program for residents
- Create and maintain a commitment to purposeful programming through the enhancement of the four pillars of successful aging (Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, and Social)
- Demonstrate, understand, and put into practice a person-centered philosophy to help develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, and team members
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or technical school is preferred; or a minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in programming with older adults in a health care environment is preferred
- Experience in memory care (dementia or Alzheimer’s) is preferred
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated while performing job duties
- Knowledge, training, and interests in arts, crafts, music, and recreational activities are strongly preferred
- Be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with residents, resident families, and team members
- Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to effectively interact with both residents and team members
- Demonstrate excellent teamwork
- Enjoy multi-tasking since every day is different
