About the role

The Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. The calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting both physical & mental health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games, listen to music and sing songs, and do arts & crafts - this position may be for you!

Responsibilities

- Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every daily interaction with guests, their families, and visitors. - Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs. - Encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs. - Evaluate patients according to their background, life enrichment interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs. - Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.

Requirements

- 1+ year of related experience in long-term care preferred. - Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred. - Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care! - Team player, dedicated to supporting team members and getting the job done.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and visitors. - Creativity and ability to think outside the box. - Patience and empathy.

Pay

- Competitive wages starting at $14.50 per hour, plus Hero Pay ($0.85 per hour). - Yearly Wage Increases

Schedule

- Part-time position available. - Day shift, including rotating weekends and some holidays.
