Activities Aide

Required to work every other weekend and holiday. Some late shifts may occasionally be needed to help with evening activities. Preference given to candidates 18 years or older. $1,000 sign-on bonus available.

Responsibilities

• Caring for the residents by showing passion for planning fun activities.
• Helping with and participating in fun and engaging activities.
• Building trusting, professional relationships with patients, families, caregivers, and referral sources.
• Facilitating activities as scheduled on the calendar with a professional demeanor.
• Engaging with residents in small group activities.
• Assessing individual resident interests.
• Assisting residents with their personal preferences for daily activities.
• Collaborating with other departments to conduct meaningful resident engagement.
• Providing one-on-one time with residents.
• Aiding with documentation of assessments, participation records, and other required information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Nursing home activities experience.
• State Tested Nursing Assistant (preferred, not required).
