Activities Aide

About the role

The Life Enrichment Activities Aide at Wexford Senior Care Center is responsible for delivering and leading a variety of life enrichment programs designed to enhance the physical and mental health and well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on their background, interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with guests, their families, and visitors.
• Facilitate a positive, healthy environment through kind words and encouragement.

Requirements

• 1+ year of related experience in long-term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
• Dedicated to supporting team members and getting the job done.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours including rotating weekends and some holidays.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
