Activities Aide

About the role

The Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games and do crafts, this position may be for you!

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, their families, and visitors.
• Promote a positive, healthy environment through kind words and encouragement.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on their background, life enrichment interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.

Requirements

• 1+ year of related experience in long-term care preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care.
• Team player dedicated to supporting team members and getting the job done.

Schedule

• Part-time positions available.
• Day Shift or Afternoons/Evenings shift available.
• All shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays.

Pay

• Starting at $16.00 per hour (base wages $15.15 - $16.95 per hour, based on years of experience).
• Plus $0.85 per hour hero pay.
• Yearly wage increases.
