Activities Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Aide to join our team at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glen Burnie, a premier nursing and rehabilitative care facility in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement recreational programs and activities to promote resident engagement, socialization, and cognitive stimulation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify resident needs and preferences, and develop activities that cater to their interests
• Develop and maintain relationships with community resources, vendors, and volunteers to enhance programming and services
• Manage and coordinate logistics for events, outings, and special activities
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activities, and assessments
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of [insert minimum years of experience] years of experience in activities coordination or a related field
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
