The Activities Coordinator, also titled The Active Life Coordinator, is a valuable member of the Petals Memory Care Program which provides residents with supportive and person‑centered social connections to inspire joy, meaningful interactions, and life fulfillment. Elements of the Petals Program include Physical Wellbeing, Creative Arts, Social Connections, Waters Academy, Integrated & Spiritual Therapies, and Music & Arts Enrichment.
Responsibilities
- Play a meaningful role in developing and executing activities which help residents thrive.
- Examples of activities include exercise classes, creative arts, culinary creations, social interactions, personal engagements, off‑site excursions, etc.
- Assist residents with activities of their choice, which may include group activities and/or personal engagements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with seniors and/or experience in memory care, recreational therapy, education, hospitality, or related areas preferred.
Skills
- A love of seniors and passion for enhancing lives through meaningful interactions.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and positive rapport with residents, team members, and families.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends, as appropriate.
