Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate Acting curriculum for after-school students
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment
• Track student growth and offer positive, helpful feedback
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach
• Create a memorable experience for the children in your class

Requirements

We’re looking for a fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor, with experience teaching school-age children, and who:

• Has excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
• Knows how to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
• Is cooperative, supportive, and flexible
• Is dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy … and also appreciates support and clear expectations

Pay

$90 - $120 an hour. Teachers in the Togetherhood network are paid per class, either flat rate or per-student (determined by the partner school). This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work. There is a separate materials budget for teachers to use for classes requiring one.
