Responsibilities

• Provide services in the community where the consumer may need it, including schools, workplaces, homes, shelters, stores, etc.
• Provide outreach, support, referral to services, and connection of resources to the consumer and/or their family.
• Conduct ongoing strengths assessments with active participation from the consumer and/or their family to determine strengths, wants, needs, and preferences.
• Develop and document treatment goals and plans with input from the client, their family, and other treatment team members; monitor and adjust the plan as needed.
• Advocate for client rights and community integration while preserving dignity and confidentiality.
• Provide individual therapeutic interventions to assist in symptom management and skill development.
• Provide resources and education about mental illness or serious emotional disturbances to clients and their families upon request.
• Meet administrative and clinical documentation requirements in terms of content and timeliness.
• Meet direct service expectations and comply with productivity standards as outlined in policy.
• Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision and program staffing; provide input on clinical and program issues.
• Provide crisis management and coordinate emergency services during periods of crisis.
• Drive to community settings for service delivery.
• Maintain and update clinical schedules in the agency’s electronic health record.
• Maintain and advance knowledge and skills through training and review of pertinent materials.
• Adhere to PMHS policies, procedures, and applicable ethical codes; demonstrate sensitivity to cultural and ethnic differences.
• Review and comply with the Pawnee Code of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Complete state-required training specific to the position at the first available opportunity.
• Work cooperatively with the Management Team and other staff to share resources and expertise in pursuit of the agency’s mission.
• Perform all other reasonably related duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of work experience and education (one year of experience substitutes for one year of education).
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy.
• Basic personal computer skills for data entry, retrieval, and use.
• Criminal and other applicable background checks and drug screening must meet Pawnee’s approval.

• Preferred: Knowledge of the needs and challenges of consumers experiencing serious mental illness and their families.
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office software.

Pay

$20.19 an hour
