Your Opportunity

Acrylic Design Associates is looking for an Acrylic Fabricator to join the team in Plymouth, MN. The Acrylic Fabricator is responsible for manufacturing high-quality acrylic products by cutting, machining, bending, bonding, polishing, assembling, and finishing acrylic components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
  • Cut, route, saw, drill, bend, polish, and bond acrylic materials to specification.
  • Assemble acrylic products using adhesives, mechanical fasteners, and other fabrication techniques.
  • Inspect parts throughout the fabrication process to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards.
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production schedules and job status.
  • Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or process improvements.
  • Assist with packaging finished products to ensure safe shipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

You Must Have

  • Previous fabrication, manufacturing, woodworking, plastics, or acrylic fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring tools and blueprints accurately.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

We Would Also Prefer

  • Experience working with acrylic or other plastics.
  • Knowledge of adhesives, polishing, and finishing techniques.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Requirements Within This Position

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials.
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, power tools, dust, and noise.
  • Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive hand movements.
  • Requires safe handling of large acrylic sheets and finished products.

Pay

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $19.00 - 21.00.
