Acquisition Program Management Specialist (Chief BM Section)
About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full-Time Acquisition Program Management Specialist (GG-1101-14) in the Air Force Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) Branch within the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division at JB San Antonio-Lackland, TX. This position serves as the Chief of the Battle Management Section and assists the Branch Chief in delivering capabilities supporting the US Cyber Command mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop, establish, implement, and control contractual, financial, and technical aspects of projects/programs through designated phases of the acquisition cycle.
- Provide acquisition oversight and guidance on development, acquisition, and sustainment across multiple branches, programs, activities, and diverse mission disciplines.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access required.
- Designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program.
- Pass initial and periodic short-notice drug tests.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, practices, regulations, and acquisition laws and program management support.
- Expert knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs and support activities.
- High level ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information; plan, organize, and direct teamwork; and negotiate with management to accept and implement recommendations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, practices, regulations, and acquisition laws and program management support; and the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DOD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence systems acquisition and integrated life-cycle management processes.
Skills
- Use of a high degree of originality and judgement.
- Ability to assess branch programs' goals, objectives, financial plans, and budget estimates.
