Acoustic Engineer - Top Secret Clearance Required - Misawa, Japan

Key Responsibilities

• Work with construction firms to ensure compliance with requirements established in ICD/ICS 705
• Conduct audio testing to verify that facilities meet required acoustic and security standards
• Document testing results and technical findings
• Report discrepancies within assigned areas of responsibility to the Site Security Manager (SSM)
• Cookordination with construction teams and project stakeholders to address and resolve deficiencies
• Perform retesting when issues are identified to ensure full compliance with required standards
• Maintain accurate records of testing activities and corrective actions

Requirements

• Active U.S. Top Secret clearance
• Appropriate certification to conduct acoustic or environmental testing (examples include: Certified Noise Control Engineer (CNCE), Certificate of Competence in Environmental Noise Measurement (CCENM), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Vibration Analyst (CVA), Certified Professional in Acoustics (CPA))
• Demonstrated expert understanding of ICD/ICS 705 requirements through experience working on multiple ICD 705 projects
• Experience performing acoustic or audio testing and evaluating results against established standards
• Ability to work effectively with construction teams, security personnel, and project stakeholders
