What You'll Do
- Operate Acme Gridley multi-spindle automatic screw machines to manufacture parts to specification.
- Inspect coolant, oil level and air pressure before operating the machine.
- Effectively use shop packages to include, but not limited to, manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts and quality alerts.
- To ensure that only gages and tools that are used are within calibration dates.
- To operate multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing.
- Produces product to establish quality standards and notify your direct supervisor if non-conforming product is found.
- Perform quality checks per Inspection Record & documents.
- Request raw materials in a timely manner as needed for production and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures.
- Follow safe working practices and notify any supervisory personnel or safety team member if an unsafe condition is observed.
- Replaces worn tools and operates bench grinder to sharpen tools.
- Demonstrates respectful behavior with all employees.
What You'll Bring
- Experience operating multi-spindle screw machines or similar production equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Commitment to product quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate records.
- A proactive approach and flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant machining experience.
