Responsibilities
- Transporting patients to and from procedure areas including patients that must be accompanied by ACLS personnel
- Hemostasing arterial/venous puncture sites
- Prepping patients
- Cleaning instruments/rooms
- Preparing sterile trays
- Working with materials and supplies
- Assisting with the day-to-day activities necessary to increase the overall efficiency of the lab
- Providing direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and sedation for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
Qualifications
Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Work Experience: 2 years of related work experience in a health care facility with Cardiac or acute care patient experience Required; experience in obtaining medical history, performing physical examination of patients and providing emergency care during transport Preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- ACLS within 2 weeks of employment Required
- EMT - Emergency Medical Tech Certification EMT National Registry within 180 Days Required or AEMT within 180 Days Required
- EMT-P within 180 Days Preferred
