The Role

The Store Manager is a pivotal position for Acima within retail partner stores, responsible for managing all activities at an assigned location. The role focuses on maximizing store revenue and profits, meeting sales goals, and improving processes to increase sales. The Store Manager oversees selection, training, and ongoing development of store coworkers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the day‑to‑day work of all store coworkers.
• Motivate, evaluate, coach, and counsel coworkers, including issuing discipline up to termination.
• Identify and recommend coworkers for promotion to Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager positions.
• Establish partnerships with store personnel to generate referrals and educate them on the rental and lease process.
• Train, supervise, and assess coworkers’ dedication to exceptional customer service.
• Enhance coworkers’ sales and account‑management skills through ongoing training and coaching.
• Promptly address and resolve coworker and customer issues and complaints to maintain consistent satisfaction.
• Cultivate a positive work environment to improve coworker retention and minimize turnover.
• Recruit, interview, and hire store coworkers.
• Establish and track daily and weekly sales objectives.
• Supervise and guide coworkers in sales activities and facilitate conversion of rental and lease agreements.
• Address challenging accounts requiring managerial intervention and authorize customer commitments.
• Communicate and promote the accessibility, flexibility, and convenience of Acima’s leasing services.
• Educate customers on lease terms, delivery protocols, review overdue accounts, and encourage timely payments.
• Guide customer interactions on leasing options, ensuring clarity on payment terms and top‑notch service.

Job Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven track record of success in retail sales management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles.
• Familiarity with rental or leasing industry practices (a plus).
• Organized with time‑management skills and the ability to multi‑task.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Consistent in‑person attendance to lead and manage store operations.

Compensation

Salary range: $41,040 – $49,761 per year, plus potential performance‑based bonus paid monthly.

Schedule

This is a full‑time position. Workdays are Monday through Sunday, with varying hours that include evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands

The Store Manager role is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and occasional climbing throughout the day. Regular communication with coworkers and customers is also required.
