Position Overview
As a Accreditation Manager at Galen College of Nursing, you will provide highly diversified support to the Office of Accreditation, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs. Under the direction of department leadership, the Accreditation Manager is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and preparing information in support of the College’s institutional and programmatic accreditation efforts, in addition to providing review in support of faculty credentialing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support in assuring programs at all campuses meet applicable accreditation standards and criteria.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all accrediting and regulatory agency standards and institutional policies and procedures.
- Research and interpret institutional, accreditor, and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Support the evaluation of College policies and procedures to ensure each complies with accreditation standards.
- Support site visits from accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies, including but not limited to preparing materials, providing administrative support for visit meetings, editing reports, maintaining records, responding to inquiries and preparing electronic exhibit rooms.
- Prepare, review, and edit materials required for accreditation applications and site visits.
- Prepare annual reports for accrediting bodies, including coordinating and organizing institutional data and collaborating with other stakeholders and departments within the College.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Program Quality in producing faculty profile tables and rosters that meet accrediting body requirements.
- Participate in appropriate accreditation committee meetings and monitor and report on committee activities.
- Monitor timelines for all program reviews, self-studies, evaluations, and accreditation-related reports.
- Manage data and documentation required for all accreditation oversight and maintenance.
- Support training programs to improve compliance with accrediting standards and criteria.
- Assist the Office of Accreditation, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs in a variety of complex tasks involving contact and exposure to proprietary information.
- Utilize independent judgment, determining when to act for management and when to refer problems for attention.
- Effectively facilitate multiple projects and ensure deliverables are met by set deadlines.
- Maintain confidential correspondence, reports, meeting notices, presentation materials, and other documents in appropriate formats.
- Monitor local, regional, and national publications for news and events that may impact the College.
Position Requirements
- An earned bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Experience with accreditation agencies and/or in higher education is preferred.
- Highly organized, with project management experience desired.
- Must possess decisiveness, confidence, flexibility, and ability to adapt to change.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills demonstrated at all organizational levels.
- Excellent judgment, problem solving, analytical abilities with high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and organize projects to meet deadlines.
- Minimal travel to support site visits may be required.
