Accounts Receivable Specialist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate directly with guests and credit card processors to resolve disputes
- Prepare and send email and/or upload general billing to guests and wholesalers
- Monitor the Aging Report to maintain account progress
- Process vendor setup
- Pursue collections of past due accounts
- Refers overdue accounts to collections
- Process travel agent commissions in preparation for payment to travel agents (TA)
- Help rectify any billing disputes between internal departments and guests and wholesalers’ discrepancies
- Process and allocate daily payments from all sources
- Maintain up-to-date information and comments on all client accounts; Ensure documentation is accurate, thorough and focused on detail
- Process and allocate credit card charges/refunds for guest inquiries disputes and skips
- Research and respond to all credit card retrieval and chargeback inquiries
Qualification Requirements
- High School diploma required
- Six (6) months or more years of experience in a professional accounting role
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
