About the Role
The Accounts Receivable Lead supports the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and is responsible for a variety of functions within daily operations, including collections, billing, audits, customer service, and guest inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Communicate directly with guests and credit card processors to resolve disputes.
- Prepare and send email and/or upload general billing to guests and wholesalers.
- Monitor the Aging Report to maintain account progress.
- Pursue collections of past-due accounts and refer overdue accounts to collections.
- Process travel agent commissions in preparation for payment to travel agents.
- Rectify billing disputes between internal departments, guests, and wholesalers.
- Process and allocate daily payments from all sources.
- Maintain up-to-date information and comments on all client accounts, ensuring documentation is accurate and thorough.
- Process and allocate credit card charges/refunds for guest inquiries, disputes, and skips.
- Research and respond to all credit card retrieval and chargeback inquiries.
- Administer coaching and training to the A/R specialists as required.
- Temporary or permanent duties may be added or modified as necessary.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School diploma required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Proven effective leadership and management of assigned personnel, with department lead experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly, and communicate clearly.
- Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written communication skills in English may also be required.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and peripheral vision.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- May be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted secondhand tobacco smoke.
Pay
$26.25 per hour.
