Accounts Receivable Intern - Spring 2026 Term

Location: Plymouth, Michigan | Pay Range: $17-$22 per hour | Duration: January to April 2027 | Hours: Full Time | Relocation: Not Available. Local candidates preferred.

About the role

The AR Intern will support the AR Department processes and collections for Johnson Electric North America.

Responsibilities

• Investigate invoices not paid including following up with external and internal customers
• Tracking and reporting regarding samples
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Assist with assembling data to support various reporting to management including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits
• Assist with audit requests both internal and external
• Communicate and work cross functionally with other groups including Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and headquarters in Hong Kong

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or currently pursuing a degree with expected graduation within the next year
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Microsoft Excel proficiency – experience with bringing data together from different systems into Excel spreadsheets and perform variance analysis
• Experience using Oracle and Salesforce software (preferred)
• Organizational skills
• Communication skills
