Key Responsibilities
- Aid in month closing by entering appropriate information into the computer system and reviewing and updating the current aging report for discrepancies and finance charges.
- Research and respond to all accounts receivable inquiries in a timely manner.
- Review and verify payment deductions.
- Understand and research chargebacks.
- Process credit memos.
- Research credit applications when appropriate, notifying customers of approval/disapproval status and documenting pertinent credit information according to company procedures.
- Daily research of unapplied and unidentified payments.
- Respond to customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with inter-departments to obtain necessary documents for chargebacks.
- Support the Department Manager/ Director on special projects.
- Create monthly and quarterly reports on past due invoices and chargebacks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- College degree in Accounting is preferred.
- At least 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
- Prior Wholesale experience.
- 1-2 years of collection and charge-back experience.
- AS400 experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Pay
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
