Accounts Receivable Analyst

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Analyst provides accounting services in the areas of receiving and processing cash items, petty cash and change funds. This role serves as a liaison between the department and the students and all 3rd party vendors.

Responsibilities

• Process student payments, collect money due and record to student accounts.
• Handle student account inquiries, provide customer service for student and other related inquiries.
• Process and record accounts receivable payments.
• Balance daily cash transactions and prepare bank deposits.
• Maintain petty cash and change funds as assigned, verifying daily.
• Maintain accounts receivable billing, returned checks, and installment payment files.
• Process student tuition refund requests.
• Serve as back-up for all 3rd party invoicing.
• Perform collection account review and assist with collection placement with outside agencies.
• Audit petty cash and change funds assigned to other university offices.
• Reconcile various deposit accounts to General Ledger as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma. Associates Degree in Business preferred.
• Candidates Must Have Good composition and English skills, proficient in MS Office, calculator and other office machines.
• Ability to follow through on a myriad of details daily.
• Willingness to accept full responsibility for projects.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pay

Salary Range: $38,000 - $40,000

Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA
