Accounts Receivable Accountant

Position Summary

FIVES NORTH AMERICAN COMBUSTION, INC. is hiring a permanent, full-time Accounts Receivable Accountant to join their team in Cleveland, OH. This role involves invoicing & billing, financial reporting & compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in accordance with contract terms, purchase orders, and project milestones.
• Manage milestone billing for long-term manufacturing projects, ensuring all required documentation (delivery reports, project approvals, shipping confirmations) is complete prior to billing.
• Verify pricing, quantities, freight terms, and tax requirements for all invoices.
• Maintain organized invoicing schedules and proactively follow up with project managers to ensure timely billing events.
• Maintain accurate records and support periodic audits.
• Support internal reporting requirements, including revenue forecasts and cash-flow projections.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls related to AR processes.
• Ensure state sales tax returns are filed in compliance with tax regulations.
• Work closely with project managers, sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure accurate invoicing and resolution of issues.
• Work with credit/collections personnel to verify status of delinquent accounts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or project-based environment.
• Experience with milestone billing or percentage-of-completion billing.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
