Open to Internal candidates. Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor supporting TOS II at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold, TN. This role is part of an integrated team responsible for operating, maintaining, or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

About the Role

The successful candidate will perform varied professional accounting or financial work requiring the standardized application of well-established principles, theories, concepts, and practices. This position involves making day-to-day decisions concerning the treatment of financial transactions in the Accounts Payable department and recommending solutions to complex problems for approval at higher levels. The role requires developing practical solutions to a wide range of accounting, financial, and tax problems where guidelines may be well-defined or less defined in specific functional areas. Assignments require regular use of resourcefulness and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain varied accounting and/or financial records, establishing or revising controls and processing transactions as directed.
  • Prepare, review, interpret, and analyze all types of accounts and records of financial transactions. Present and support findings and recommendations.
  • Develop non-standard reports and statements (e.g., those containing forecasts reflecting the interrelations of more than one field of information). Interpret and point out trends or deviations from standards. Predict effects of changes in operating programs.
  • Assist Manager and team in system review, design, implementation support, and procedure development.
  • Analyze accounting or financial data and problems. Prepare routine working papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries indicating the extent of examination. Present and support findings and recommendations.
  • Monitor systems, provide direct supervision, and offer guidance regarding:
    • Processing and payment of invoices for subcontracts, purchases of materials, and services.
    • Processing and payment of employee travel reimbursement.
    • Monitoring the status of employees’ receivables and reviewing these with employees and management as necessary.
    • Reconciliation of all related general ledger accounts.
  • This will be a working supervisor position. Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with 5 years of progressive and relevant experience in core accounting processes or any equivalent combination of relevant education and progressive, relevant experience.
  • Current U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of progressive and relevant experience in core accounting processes.
  • Skill in analyzing and problem-solving techniques as applied to accounting.
  • Excellent skills in working with and communicating effectively orally and in writing with internal and external personnel.
  • Very proficient in computer applications and common software products.
  • Able to develop complex spreadsheets with complex formulas, macros, and ad hoc report writing.
  • Experience with Costpoint and Oracle Work and Asset Management.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is a plus.

Pay

$90,000 - $125,000 / year at location Arnold AFB, TN. Salaries for part-time jobs will be adjusted based upon the number of hours agreed to work.
