Accounts Payable Specialist - Medicaid Room & Board

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Medicaid Department with processing and entering data to ensure accurate and timely payment of patient data & invoices/bills.
  • Process hospice room & board as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for document preparation and records management.
  • Perform monthly check runs for all facilities.
  • Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management.
  • Quickly and accurately perform data entry and coding.
  • Send monthly statements to facilities confirming amounts owed.
  • Review facility invoices for accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar field preferred.
  • Typing proficiency with a speed of 50+ WPM.
  • General math skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent data entry, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.
