Headquartered in Bridgeton, MO with a 100-acre heavy equipment manufacturing facility in West Plains, MO, and a site in Goleta, CA.

This full-time Accounts Payable Specialist I position will be responsible for preparing and entering invoices in our system in a timely manner for payment, working on statements and special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Input timesheet data, verify documents and codes, process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports
• Verify accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents
• Prepare bills and invoices for payment
• Prepare checks for signature
• Maintain vendor files and communicate status of payments as required
• Identify, investigate, and follow up on billing discrepancies
• Enter data into accounting system and prepare reports
• Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
• Perform general accounting tasks at field sites, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll liaison activities
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Computer skills including working with MS Outlook and Excel
• Ability to perform data entry
• Attention to detail skills
• Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping procedures is preferred

Pay

The salary range for this position is $35,249.00/year – $44,062.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable).

Schedule

This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in-person or hybrid schedule. Flexible work schedules are offered through our 9/80 program, competitive vacation, health/emergency leave, paid parental leave, and community service hours.
