Our client in Cromwell, Connecticut is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing high-volume invoice processing, and supporting accurate, timely payments.Key Responsibilities:Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely mannerReview invoices, match purchase orders and receiving documents, and verify approvalsPrepare and process check runs, ACH, and wire paymentsReconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepanciesMaintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systemsRespond to vendor inquiries and internal questions regarding payment statusAssist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliationsSupport expense reporting and ensure compliance with company policiesHelp improve accounts payable processes and maintain strong internal controls 2+ years of accounts payable experience preferredExperience with high-volume invoice processingStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systemsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAssociate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
